Well I can say that the Xone is better quality, but the Nuo is still awesome, plus you need to hear them for yourself, everybodys ears are different and what you think sounds good, might sound crap the the next person, and vice versa, plus remember, if you get some high end mixer with amazing sound, you have to make sure the rest of your setup will not drag the sound quality down, you can have a Urei or Bozak mixer, but if your running it to your mums old Midi Hifi system, it will sound like shit.
Your equipment is only as strong as your weakest link.

I disagree. The Nuo 5 beated every mixer I've tested so far (including the A&H. Especially crossfader abusers should really consider the Nuo 5. A&H uses P&G crossfaders, Ecler used a conductive fader. NOTHING beats a conductive fader.
Sound quality is also a bit better, but that's something only real audiopiles hear mostly. I like the RIAA filters in the Nuo 5 better. They really show off when it comes to quality, even with a crappy Stanton AL-500MKII cardridge.

p.s. that means it has midi too and reprogramable FX, if you wanna split hairs yes the A&H has slightly better sound quality but thats subjective. |
yeah the ecler does have midi. and im not worried about "slightly" better sound quality, im worried about "an ecler is shit compared to A&H" which is not the case it seems.
the reason that im not big on using effects is there is no way to get "versatile" effects, on the pioneers and such, the FX are very cut and dry, but with the progamable FX of the ecler, i think i would use them more.
again, i need to test them both out and get a real feel for them. but if its a choice of 700 for "slightly" better sound quality, i am goin with the ecler. i just wish they made it in rotary, but that isnt too big of a deal

apparently www.agiprodj.com is the only place in US carrying the ecler nuo5 right now. I just emailed him for a price quote as I was about to buy the DJM 3000 with the $200 rebate and I stumbled upon other choices. PM me if anyone has a price on the ecler yet. I am waiting on a response from them and I would like to know if anyone can do it cheaper. Thanks.
