just realized who this is and laughed my ass off. reccess.co.uk was my dj learning archive back in 97, when i was using virtual turntables version 1.80 with a crack and a headphone splitter to mix.
now, 10 years later, i have a whack of pro equipment, a slew of gigs under my belt, a production company, and recess is asking me for advice! killer |
Gotta love it.
When I was researching the book, the amount of people who I'd get in touch with who said pretty much the same thing, that they'd got their starts because of my site was incredible. Kinda humbling in some ways - in others, I think 'Damn, I shoulda written a book years ago'.
As to the CDJ thing - I did think that, but wondered why you still use the Mark 1 1000's when you obviously seem a 'kit-head' and go for the good stuff - so I thought I'd ask.
Cheers for clearing things up though.
