Have not done any side chain on synths yet.
Does it need some more elements?
This is actually really good Richard, very promising WIP man.
Just from my observation - kick is not giving 100% justice to this production, my $0.02

It may take some tweaking and adjusting but this WIP has some potential - I do agree with Phil comment about your vocal which need to have some more development/buildup on it (I usually have between 5~10 channels with vocal and vocal FX) - also drums would need to be more alive (spread some parts around like one channel of hi-hats pinging between l and R) for cool effect. It is all about listeners experience and how he/she will perceive your production - hopefully this make any sense
Soon I will upload my latest EDM track (WIP) to let you hear some vocal FX.
Cheers,
Darek

Darek,
I am going to be overly critical here. For one, I know you can take it (grins)and two because I know your potential.
To be honest this is not a bad track. It has that "I remember" feel to it. With that said, it's solid but damn dood. That is way to way to easy a track for you to be making..lol I EXPECT MORE FROM YOU D!! lol
You have put up WAY more complex arrangements than that. I mean really, how long did that take you? lmao Im razzin you man
On a side note, I cannot even imagine your save lists for song tests.
Probably looks something like..

I would start on 3:02 and then on 4:45 that vocal should start singing some chorus, because this what you got currently is not enough i think, sounds like a beginning of song, i'm waiting for something to happen but it doesn't. Production is nice

Been meaning to hit you back up with this Richard but have been hermitting in the mountains this week. Back now...
Just like Darek, I am going to be critical on this track just for the simple reason your D&B is awesome shit!
This track has a TON of potential man. As you mentioned there is no SC yet present and I tried to imagine it with it,but..not sure that is the Sub tone for this piece. Matter of fact you did a D&B piece not to long ago with this gated glided sub that would be perfect with this.
It was almost a detuned reese that just melted like butter when it came through.
I am simply loving those delay tails, even the reverse delays on the female vox samples. Adds so much atmospheric back end.
Something happens where the energy cuts off at the 1:51 mark
That stab you introduce at the 2:00 mark. Go with that man, I would make it very pronounced as it sounds so dope yet it seems to be hiding in the mix. Even maybe transient into an arp with that tone? just a suggestion.
Yea..dood, this is good stuff.

I read Systems feedback first, but I have to say I really like this a lot, what great sounds and it's so laid back but with plenty of groove for me
VOCALS - Loving the little vocal stabs esp the one at 2.01, but late r the vox get on my nerves, sound a bit awkward and off. Maybe just go with some atmospheric vocal samples here n there?
I'm into this sort of thing lately, as you will hear below. Trying to get some stuff signed to those paid-for music platforms Vloggers use, and your track here is the sort that flows well with videos I think
GUYS thanks for the feedback on Forest Of Dreams, very much appreciated am working away on it
Meantime I have this one here in mind for Vloggers (and my own) videos

So good Rich, bass really makes a solid imprint on the mix. Really smooth work bud

that kick is still stale though.. Imo you have two options. Put a delay on it to give it just a little bounce... or go back in, draw new kick midi, and turn down the volume on the off kicks.. its standing straight up with no bounce...

Ok then..pulling this out of the ashes. Third iteration as a matter of fact. A complete composition change and 2 arrangement changes. It's just getting to the point where I am starting to feel it better with a little more groove. Going to work on another singular note pattern to match the main so it isn't as repetitive. No mix yet as it still early (for an old song..lol)
*another revision has been replaced - added some vox chops and cleaned up the percussion a lil
