Worked on this awhile ago, wish I still had the composition. I lost the project file awhile back.
If you use Ableton you can attempt to convert it to midi. I've been able to recover tracks that way for years now. Now, that isnt saying it works ALL the time but the convert to Chorus or Melody is convenient. At the very least it may not give you what you want but it could provide you with something even better to work with.

Nope, don't have Ableton but I have Cubase Elements and Logic Pro. Is there a work around with those?
