i really like the brassy sound, that is something to work with, it has character, not sure the rest is failing into place with it
also try a bit more reverb as some sounds in your mix are a bit dry, that leads to a clean mix but sometimes you want a bit more colour my 2c.....

I like a lot of elements in this, but I don't think it is developed very much. What about adding some chord progressions to mix it up? The synths are pretty good and with some mixing I am sure the sound design will be pretty good. Just needs more structure and development.

Agreed, and you are 100% , this is totally undeveloped and somewhat purposely. If anything I think I looked more at it like a demo to Gordan100.
Essentially, besides Gordan's Arp, the rest is purely percussive.
With some other cuts and added arrangement/comp as mentioned, this could develop nicely.
The point I was attempting to achieve was the control you have by using one shot (good quality) samples vs a fully composed rhythm loop(that is not good quality to begin)

@trancelover also ... dont fall into the trap of adding more elements to develop, sure you dont want the track to sound boring, sometimes the line is fine
the more stuff you add, the more fatiguing it can become as there are too many elements for the brain to try and concentrate on, my 2c
