For your viewing pleasure I introduce my mum, trying to learn the pianoforte.
You can get these cheap $22 RGB+UV COB PAR lights from ebay. I had three of them on a tripod about 1m away from my mom, and they are barely visible. They work ok and are much cheaper than ADJ/Chauvet branded ones, but they are made of plastic including the mounting bracket. I searched again recently and they do have 30W models for $30, but I'm considering getting LED bars instead now, which would lessen cable runs.
Raver Bear says Happy New Year! Thank You, Next.

If I was Joel, I would be performing on a giant block of Swiss cheese which the punters could dig into after a set.
The fancy disco lights can shine through the holes in the cheese!

I never realized you had that much outboard/hardware.
When you you switch to Dyna's? Also what the mixing board? Looks like A&H but can't quite tell?
Congrats, going to be quite the setup!

Tip of the iceberg
Got at least 3 more synths coming, picked up a Nyborg 24 today....
The desk is a Soundcraft 22MTK. I bought it because it does multi channel audio over USB and I wanted to test live multi-tracking into Ableton. I have the RME/ADA8200 set up as well though if it's shit.
I actually had Dynaudio's a couple of years back and always regretted selling them. I bought some Neumann's after that but didn't like them as much. I toyed with the idea of getting LYD-48s, but the BM5's are a known quantity to me so I thought I'd buy some anyway. They're a bargain right now.
