Hey All,

Been having issues lately with writing. I do alright on a intro and a "base" of a song but when approaching the bridge I just go totally blank. This is one of three tracks that are exactly the situation.
The problems start when I just go totally blank and then I start fidgeting with what I already have worked on and I start over thinking and adding elements that I probably shouldn't which affects the production. Any suggestions?

Honestly that track sounds pretty complete to me elements-wise.
When you add the intro/outro you'll end with a piece of around 5 minutes which seems totally appropriate for the genre. You already got the verse based around the vocals and you got the main lead which should constitute the refrain imo. Than it's just a matter of arranging, managing things.

I would suggest you to leave it on a side for a month or so and then get back at it with fresh mind and vision.

I wouldn't advice working on a project that has bored the shit out of you, cause no matter how much will you got, you could never be creative on such projects unless you take a serious break and allow time to "clear" your mind.

I personally wouldn't call that edm. However if you wanna call it like that it'll be a weird one, cause the mixing is very typical of a trance track. In edm generally everything is much more connected and in your face.

absolutely love the little plucks, they really create a beautiful atmosphere. For me, the whole kick/tom arrangement doesnt work

thanks for checking. yeah moving on from that, already closer to what I want with this one. got to spend quite a bit of time on this last night.

its weird not getting weighed down by a track and just moving on. used to horde ideas back in the day
