Thanks for the info Ryan. Basically the session out is your second discrete output then, just shame it's not balanced but I could live with that especially as my other zone is the living room hifi or garden system.

With the soundcard though, is it just line level outputs? How is the out level controlled or atenuated? Does it just feed from the master (pre fader)?

Fuck, if I had any other mixer than the 55, and rack space, I would snap them up, but I have kills (although not total kills like the intimidation ones) so I can't quite justify it.

They are really sweet though. How did you end up with 7 of them? They were like hens teeth even back in the day.

Have you read the whole story about intimidation / Steve Carrol / Peter Elvens debacle? It's fucking fascinating.

Steve also claims he invented DVS systems but it was stolen by this shady shell corporation (which turned out to be Numark) and has a pretty detailed story to back it up.

Legend even has it that he invented the Blue LED (apparently he wanted a true blue output light - not coloured blue plastic LED, so he went out of found a type of phosphorous that emitted blue light when a current was passed through it).

I wish they had a cutdown 3 channel and 1 sound card version.

I'd settle for the soundcards being options. Seems like such overkill to have two 14 channel soundcards.
