I have used them indeed. I really enjoyed mixing on them. Everything is smooth. I've mixed on ones that were 1 year old and ones that were 3 years old. They both performed and felt the same.
For occasional mixing you really can't go wrong. That is if you don't want to use the smaller jog wheel on the 350's (which also are really solid cdj's).
I guess you'll just have to look at your budget. I've mixed on 350's, 800's, 850's, 900's, 1000MK3's, and 2000's. The 850's (and to be honest the 350's too) match up really well compared to the higher models given it's extremely manageable price tag (especially used). If push came to shove, I would honestly buy an 850 over the others so I could dump more money on a better quality/newer mixer.
As Rann said, if you don't mind the smaller jog wheel, you can't beat 350's. If the standard Pioneer jogwheel we've all come to love is something you can't live without though, I recommend the 850's.
