Really RANN, appreciate the perspective, but I don't care whether he's James Blunt on a bad hair day, at the end of the day the guy just needs to behave like everyone else.
If he's trying to be funny at the expense of someone else, he's got another thing coming. He maybe doesn't realize it, but he has no audience here. He is only infracting this subforum further to a point where there is nothing left here but 20 alts distributed between 5 members used for bashing eachother and keeping neebs out.
This is not about him mocking me, I couldn't care less, really... He is my biggest fan. But this is about this subforum being near dead, now he scared everyone away. He's not fucking boy wonder, he is a tool. A forum bully.
I don't own this forum, so it's not for me to say, but IMHO he needs to behave or just go.
Above is just me still being polite while having a little internet cat fight. What do you think happens if we all just let ourselves go to his level and get close and personal with eachother? then it's funny for a couple of posts and then everyone is sick of it. L4C is not playing by the rules, Talk about content, keep the ad hominem out. There is no underlaying message which he just tries to bring, in a stand-up comedian way, he's not funny, he's just plain rude with no substance at all. He might think that he is superiour and others are not as "smooth talkers" as him, but it's about not going "there" full stop.
Ofcourse one can say, "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen" and L4C thinking he is some kind of Gordon Ramsey running the "hells kitchen" of TA, but he is not. The kitchen is near empty and nearly everyone decided it's no longer worth it to "watch and learn" as there is nothing to learn. He has proven that time after time with his "knowledge" the guy might be able to play piano, but he knows jack shit about production engineering.
This subforum is supposed to be self regulating, but it's not, its L4C regulated, threads can live for as long as he doesn't "jump inn" once he does the thread is dead. Because no one wants "to be told" by him. If this is how we want to move forward then all good, let the community deteriorate further and let him keep this forum hostage. All fine with me.

I hear what you're saying Raphie but the thing I've never understood is that the power lies with the people posting.
What I mean by that is people let themselves get trolled or flamebaited - it's like when people moan about internet bullying; it doesn't exist if you don't let it.
And if Richie or anyone else gets your goat, the just ignore the posts and keep responding to the others.
I've never understood why this is such a hard concept to grasp? The more people play in to it, the more it fans the flames.
In the last 10 years, I can only really think of 2 occasions where trolling bullshit got so out of hand that a mod had to step in to regulate (Chronodevir and w.illiam_A.Shley). Every other situation could have been diffused by just people not getting worked up.
I also don't believe this forum is really that dead - I've seen it a lot quieter than this and it always comes back.
The noobs sometimes get scared off because the level of knowledge is so high among the regulars that they ask really basic, spoon feed, lazy questions, they get quite a beating.

(if that was aimed at me?) I'm not "sticking up for him" as such;
It's just immature people that don't know how to handle these situations. I find him quite funny at times and I know many people like him probably because of the industry we both work in (and trust me, you aint seen nothing if you think he can get you wound up).
If someone says something you don't like, then ignore it and move on with the discussion.
If someone habitually makes or pokes fun of you for no good reason, then one PM to our mod gets them a warning, a holiday or permanent ban.
This isn't rocket science guys.
I also think that many people have an overly formed sense of entitlement and self worth, so they freak out when someone toys with them.
Same with one of the recent noobs that starting asking fucking dumb questions and got his arse handed to him. It would not even be 1% of what he'd get if spoke like that in a real studio environment (I've seen grown men reduced to tears in some studios by sharp tongued engieers and composers). Not saying it's right, but in this life a thick skin and the ability to laugh at yourself will serve you a lot better than an over inflated opinion of yourself.
Look at how both raphie and dave (cryo) have handled these situations recently.

I'm probably the same age, maybe younger than you, and I don't really see how I'm ego centric or reminsicant of a drag queen. I do find it pathetic that you think being homosexual is some kind of slur or insult (I'm not by the way, but still).
And what fun are you talking of? L4C and Raphie going at it, while idiots weigh in with timeless comments such as "pwnd" and "chavs" on a trance sub forum is your version of fun? You really need to get out more.
You just like people fighting, and I think the only reason you changed your avatar is that it instantly tipped people off as to the fact you contribute little to nothing on here apart from shit stirring. How long did it take you to decide not to use the Guy Fawkes as your avatar?
You don't like this place being serious? Then please fuck off - because the last thing this place needs is more trolling or childish twats.
