About to start working on the mixdown, any thoughts on the structure / progression?

i would bring the kick forward just a little, maybe some compression with an SSL style compressor, they are great for bringing out the attack in kicks like that

Thanks. Yeah its all made in Bitwig. I think I could use some more pads to help with the transitions some since I reduced the presence of the main track pad a bit for mixing. That would help especially in the first section where the track is alot more open and I have suspected it may need a bit more to bring it along.
I will look at the kick, to be honest I havn't spent much time on it but I spent hours working on the hats
BTW, I think the bell part would work in your track quite nicely if you just fixed the key even if its not the exact thing you had in mind.
be careful with adding more pads - pads take up a lot of room in a mix

its a bit "all sub and no bass" i would roll off some of the sub and concentrate on that kinda rolling saw bass you have there? I can just about hear it, it needs to come way up

For me the kick is separate from the track and not an embedded part of the work. In other words it's the wrong kick - IMO. I don't know about others but I find a ready made kick never fits a track properly, that you have to keep layering maybe 3 kicks and fiddling with each individual kick until it suddenly comes good.
The rest of the elements sound powerful but as a whole the work is a little anonymous, I'm wanting a definite personality stamp, some sort of motif.

This has very well written channels, and its groovy as all hell. I know what it needs, To me; this track sounds ready. You should definitely make a sandwich. Once this ceremony is finished, hit all your fader moves in one session. automate until your machine burns.

I think your kick is too loud, and there isn't really a defined bass sound to go along with it.

Hmm it does seem to show just a tad. I know I'm contradicting to what others are saying but I think things don't sound quite as tight as I'm used to hearing from you. Not saying any of it sounds bad, far from it, just agreeing with you about your new room and that I know you could get an extra 10% out of that when you get used to it.

I won't comment on the mix as its just a concept, but WOW I think this has so much potential. I love the vocals and the lyrics, its a really good song imo Ive just played it 3 times in a row lol. Granted it needs some work but if done right you would give cryo a run for his money
