I hate working with other singers as it's a pain for me personally.
just throwing it out there the best time I ever had in the studio was working with other singers and resulted in the most popular tracks I've ever done, I know what it's like dealing with singers and the ego shit but don't let a couple bad experiences close any doors for you

I really like the bass on this, it's interesting. Sounds decent enough all round but could do with a bit more of a personality stamp, something very definite and memorable in the synth area as it's for my tastes slightly noodle, but that's only a taste thing so may not mean a lot.

So I've put enormous effort into getting this finished, it's had a ton of changes, and I'm pleased with the final result.
As ever though I would appreciate any final last mix advice - whether you think the bass is correct.
I love this.. This is definitely Pendulum caliber. The bass can sound somewhat off as it goes down, but not more than that it just adds some grit and spice to the sound in my opinion.

Like the bass, sounds very organic with the rest of the track. Has a nice groove and atmosphere.
Working on an oldschool atmospheric 140bpm trance / techno type track and mainly need feedback on the concept and execution of what I have so far.
EDIT:
Reworked the percussion and track intro

I really like the vibe and sound selection of this track, the atmo is deep and dark. The track lies in between techno and prog trance and it does not sound mainstream in any way. The "crash"/ shoot sample is very nice but sounds a bit repetitive after a while, you could play it with different fxs to keep it fresh.
a bit boomy around 300-500. I think if you work on that it should be fine. also the bassline sounds like you are hipassing where a little more sub could come through. though fixing that boomy mid bass area could even out the whole mix. don't feel too bad thats one of the hardest areas to mix.
vocals are fine I say keep them. I'd say you could even get away with a nice break with some singing in there.
maybe build up the very beginning more? as it is a bit abrupt where it stands.
good stuff m8

God the bass as ever is my mortal enemy, not sure if its right.
May get a proper singer for this.
Richard I actually really like the bass here, more so than your last track. Really like the stereofield modulations (I think thats what it is anyway) makes it sound like the bass is moving around crazily.
At about 1:18 though it does become a bit hard to hear / feel in the mix. May be intended, but I just feel like it loses a bit of the groove there because of that.

I hear the concept and I like it but the mixing is a bit of a wreck. the popping and clicking of the highs kind of take over and only the highs seem to stand out, where you want the lows mids and highs to be equally present.
the bass is a bit muddy and it seems to rely too much on the swing you have on it. the kick isnt standing out either because its buried in the bassline. the way everything is mixed the mids arent really present but its mainly a perceptual thing because of the muddy low and clicky highs that seem to pop out of no where.
now the bassline just starts to wander into different keys and starts to fall apart.
a decent effort but the mixing needs major work. keep plugging away
