Had the nord 4r and traded it up to a P12, never looked back, the 4R is like massive in a box, for me it added nothing compared to VSTis
The P12 is just wow, the desktop version looks ugly though |
Yeah, I'd love to have the full P12, but I don't have room for another keyboard, so it would have to replace my Virus TI2, which is my main controller and very integral (no pun intended) to my whole studio/workflow. I don't really plan on buying a NR4 either, since I agree that it would be redundant with my other VAs (Virus, PC3X, and soft synths). Some of the NL4 demos really do impress me, though. Most of the P12 demos that I've heard are pretty bad TBH, but most of them seem to be made by gearslutz-types who only want to make boring-ass drones with it. I'd sorta like to get my hands on one, but then again, it would probably reignite my GAS.

Same here. I mostly use Hosa cables for synths and other "permanent" installations (i.e., where I'm not unplugging/plugging them in repeatedly) and have never had one go bad on me. I've also A/B'ed and null tested them against my more expensive cables and there is absolutely no detectable difference in sound quality. For my bass, guitars, microphones, etc. I use better cables.
