Yes, The OCX. Best piece of gear in that whole pic IMHO.
Nice. Did you notice an audible improvement when you installed the unit?

It floored me actually. I've had the pleasure of hearing the 10M attached to it as well which took me from 60% improved to 120%. It's amazing how happy you can make a converter when you introduce a little stability into his life.

Cool, that's good to know. The Antelope has been on my gear list for quite some time, but I keep hearing mixed opinions on whether or not it was worth buying. I may have to bump it up a bit on my list now. Thanks!

I agree that I've seen a lot of back and forth online opinion wise... but hearing it in person sealed the deal for me. It'll do the same for you, guaranteed.

Nice Chris! I think(?) that's a motu you've got under there so that Antelope would make a serious difference.
Did they ever get round to finishing the Showroom in SM?

Total noob here... why is a dedicated master clock needed? The fucking thing costs 1200 bucks! Are there any cheaper but nearly-as-good alternatives available? I wouldn't mind resetting/syncing such a piece of equipment once a day (if it needed that) if I could buy it for say, a Benjamin.

I don't use one and I have quite a decent monitoring/recording setup... but it really depends on *your* setup. I honestly don't know what it's good for but I'm betting that if you know what it does, you're the kind of person who would "need" one.
Just about every audio interface will have its own clock that will probably work fine. I prefer products from MOTU but do have an Apogee Mini-DAC for digital => analog conversion to my monitors.

Oh shit, here we go.........
Seroiusly, check this thread for some good discussion (just avoid the BS from Existo who got banned recently for this sort of behaviour).
