RTA is a good company too, as far as I'm concerned. I once bent one of the wheels on mine while trying to move it on carpet with all my gear still on it (dumb move on my part). I contacted the company about buying another one, and they FedExed me a replacement within a few days free of charge!
I laughed when you said you found your keyboard on the street. It looks so gross, just buy a cheap one at Walmart.
Your studio looks more savvy than Laidback Luke's home studio.

I have that same Studio RTA. I got it for $199 new at Guitar Center.
Honestly, I don't like it much. The desk is kinda low and the monitor is way too elevated. I have to keep looking up. After a while, it hurts.

it is low so you can put a keyboard on it! The problem is that there is not a 3rd level for your actual computer keyboard and mouse. I just bought wood from ikea and made my own desk that is very slim, a level for my screens and then the piano is flush against the edge.

It's lower than any other desk I owed, including the one at my office. You can even see it on the pic. It's way lower than my Ikea desk on the right.
What I did, was that I put wood blocks on the bottom to raise the desk. However, that brought my monitors up even higher. The equipment rack is tall, it should be half the size than it should be all good. But, I know it was made that size to accommodate 4U equipment.

I had that desk and then upgraded to the more expensive model, the Producer Station. I had the same concerns that you did about my screens being so high, so I just left the top off of my desk.

You lose the rack space, but I felt it was more important to be comfortable while producing.
