Nah, you won't notice. I'm talking about sampled peaks, when you zoom in on the waveform. On your brickwall limiter or maximiser, having its maximum peak setting set to -0.1dB or -1dB won't make an audible difference.
But changing your threshold level setting from -9dB to-10dB does make a noticeable difference as that's where the real compression takes place, assuming your mix is regularly hitting those levels.

This is like talking about which racing slicks to put on your pickup truck.

I know. I was making the joke that 1db is actually the amount of change in volume that humans are able to differentiate.
