Nah, you won't notice. I'm talking about sampled peaks, when you zoom in on the waveform. On your brickwall limiter or maximiser, having its maximum peak setting set to -0.1dB or -1dB won't make an audible difference.
But changing your threshold level setting from -9dB to-10dB does make a noticeable difference as that's where the real compression takes place, assuming your mix is regularly hitting those levels.
