I could tell you which clubs I work at most of the time, and which respected artists i am lucky enough to count as friends but Im not really comfortable posting it on here for obvious reasons.
Thats not intended as a 'wow look at me I have a big nob' type post as im really not that sort of person, its just merely pointing out that very few people do think they suck ass.

Should be easily available over the phone with no sending off required. Who did you call?
Try here- http://www.trewaudio.com/store/prod...p?productid=907

No its because they are US model only- any sold over here are imports and not via official sony stores.
They are also aimed at the professional market not the consumer market, which is why you cant buy them in currys and dixons and the sony centre like the mdrv700s.

Of course, if you dont like them, thats your lookout...

when i needed replacement parts, i went into the sony store and they gave me a card with a parts retailer, i called, gave them the info and 2-3 weeks later it arrived, a little work on my part but it beats having to buy a new set altogether

plus it helps that i have 2 pairs

i absolutely love the 7506's. i've had sennheiser hd-series headphones ever since 2003 that i liked. but a few years ago i bought a pair of the sony mdr7506's and the sound is amazing.

i have to replace my monitor speakers so i use the 7506's for producing and they're amazing for subtractive EQ'ing, they're great for everything really. it sucks that the foamy headphone cover splits if you squeeze them but that's just cosmetic. i've used alot of headphones around the $100-150 price range and IMO the 7506's are by far the best of everything i've tried. crystal clear sound, i can hear every detail and have a much more flat frequency response than other comparable headphones.

my first pair of 7506's went bad (it was out of warranty). i picked up another pair of 7506's with an extended guitar center warranty and swore off all other headphones. i can wear them for several hours comfortably too. my production literally came to a halt when my 7506's broke, i refused to use the sennheiser's because they don't produce nearly as accurate of a frequency response. don't get my wrong i like my sennheiser's for DJ'ing but for production i need the 7506's.

I find the 7506's bass lacking when used for djing imo. My ultrasone dj signature just hits the nail on the board when it comes to low frequencies.

What up Tony - Long time man!

Juan, are you sure you're not getting confused with the silver MDRV 700's? The earlier versions of them would disintegrate if you looked at them the wrong way, but they fixed the housing quality after a few years and even those were solid.

The 7506's were pretty difficult to kill and as said my 7509HD's are nearly 6 years old now and only the earcups and headband fabric is going.

They suck for production/monitoring as they aren't at all flat and honest. But they are rock solid and make everything sound nice and smooth, just what a dj need to avoid tinnitus but still being able to enjoy his transitions at loud volumes. They are the opposite of the 700dj which is probably the most dangerous headphones out there. V6 is great for djeing, but sucky for production.

that's the opposite of my experience with them. theyre good for dj'ing because of their sound quality but they really shine at production imo, very honest and crystal clear. what cans do you prefer for production?
