Short little electro tune I've been working on...haven't been in the mood for any serious trance undertakings lately...
I think what it lacks in substance it made up for in fun. Might add a little more to the "melody/chorus" and still fine tuning the mix. (It originally was done on headphones and a laptop)
The sub-bomb on my 750W Hi-fi sub sure is sick though...
Comments/crits welcome.
Enjoy!
main issue for me is that the kick has no thump whatsoever

i would add some fullness for the lead maybe layer it or have a blippy type synth sound counter melody weaved in.
hmm after getting to 2 mins it takes off it seems to me you take to long to open the tune up for that style its usaly just intro|small break|Main segment 1|Breakdown|drop|small break| re drop|outro|
pretty much have it bounce in from the first segment
as i have no monitors can some one tell me if it sounds bad please
its sounds a bit nasaly - the bassline isnt really standing out at all, maybe dont cut so much from it
its hard to mix low end on headphones
I'm digging it and also think its cool that it was made by a dwarf lol.

Cheers for the feedback.
@Oaken : Yeah I'll be adding a little more interest to it. Going to be difficult to fit anymore in tho. As for structure, I kinda like the way it's laid out, as I'm not trying to straight up copy any specific genre.
@ evo : Will consult with my reference sub and make the adjustments.
The thing I've been finding is that with monitors / headphones, sometimes bass levels that sound "good" on those mediums get a bit out of hand on larger systems so I've been nipping the bass freq. a little.

i use a rocker chair and have my stuff on a long sideboard still its a little to big
i have only been doing this for a few months and mixing/mastering seems to need alot of work
the problem ios it sound right on head phones but on my 2 18"cab units the bass is either gone or to much... not to mention the mrs wants to punch my face in when i use them..

be careful using a sub to check that kick - can give the impression of a big kick if you have a lot of sub in the kick
the thump/power in kicks comes from the low mid area, like 80hz upwards
have made that mistake many times
Very nice sounding mix, got that old school vibe to it.
Love how you mix your drums they always sound good!

Yeh, completely understand. Was a misconception of mine for awhile.
Will just run the adjustable crossover and check through the entire low-end range starting at 150hz down.
The sub is a new edition so it's not quite dialed in yet. (Haven't used it much)
-Edit- Was actually a rather novel fix. The HP filter I was using to fade in the kick had it's Q set at 24 and was affecting the rest of the low end even while set at 0hz. Narrowed Q to 6, problem solved.
