maybe the one i was looking at doesn't seem to do the job well enough, krk rokit 5's. the only other brand that is available at my place here is the behringer and alesis (no, mackie is not available, darn). which specific model do you recommend?

Yeah they're just standard Auralex mate, desk has been modified quite a bit, removed the top shelf and racks to make way for mixer, now the top shelf is used as my main workstation and i made some monitor stands. It's getting there . . . .

How do you like the prophet 08?
I am hearing mixed reviews on it.
Quite nice. It's oscillators are digitally controlled, so it does sound quite fat, but doesn't really sound all that different from a good VA like a Nord Lead. The filters are nice, but again, nothing too amazing. If you want a great poly analog, the Alesis Andromeda is where it's at. I think the prophet as more of a mix between analog and digital (sonically only, of course).
Some nice set-ups in here. My ain't nearly as impressive as a lot of your stuff but it does the job I need it to do (And yes...I...ehem...collect star wars toys..hehe)

Yeah, that's a lot of Star Wars stuff!
Us music people are all geeks inside though, so don't worry .
