yo alan, i wanted to do the same time of mounting with my virus (i have the exact same desk as you too). Did you have to get any extra parts to mount that, or just the stuff that comes with the virus? I know it already has holes on the sides (the virus), but it looks as though you'd need to drill holes in the front panel side of the wooden planks so that to the holes in the table. Or do you drill holes in the side of the black table vertical panel and screw the virus in from the side?

Does the TI only take 4 rack spaces? The Virus C used to be 5U.

I didn't have to drill anything. I just took off the TI's side panels, put on the rack ears (that came with it), opened up the TI to move the audio / power plugs to the underside of the unit, and screwed it into the desk.

Was the C 5U? I don't remember it being any bigger than the TI. I may be wrong, though.
virus B + C was like 4.1U and the audio IOs couldn't be moved to the backside.

You are right, the rack ears were 5U but synth was only slightly bigger than 4U. Can you move the IOs to the back on the Ti?

yes, you can now really place another synth just on top.

The sockets on the rear panel of the Virus TI desktop model can
be rotated 90° so that the unit can be mounted in a 19” rack
without requiring free space above the “back” panel. Many
owners will consider themselves skilled enough to attempt the
following themselves – although this should ideally be done by a
professional technician. We recommend to contact your Access
dealer for further assistance.
