Olympik looking for exclusive music for exclusive compilation.
I have sent this out to quite a bit of labels and producers I know, and wanted to get this community involved as well. Olympik is working on a compilation to be released early next year. I have licensed music for this compilation from labels such as BlackHole, Bonzai, Sedna (Lost Language), KULT, Proton, and many more reputable labels. Some of the artists include Tiff Lacey, Jennifer Renee, Kevin Sunray, Jonas Steur, Wippenberg, Issues a.k.a Sinfour, V-Sag, TasteXperience, Michael Badal, Mango, Joel Armstrong, Mark Le Sal, Milan Lieskovsky and more (you get the idea) - The deadline for the compilation submissions is December 1st. Lastly, your submissions may be used as compilation only material or, upon your choosing, used as demo material for future work. I will specific further below.
If you're interested in submitting your music for consideration for the compilation, please send your demo to wiley@olympikrecords.com - There are some stipulations that follow your submissions that I will list below. All rules are written with regards to your music submission.
#1 - The track must be sent in 320kbps format.
#2 - The track must be sent in a link format that allows for download. (NO SOUNDCLOUD.....I suggest sendspace, megaupload, yousendit)
#3 - Please specify if the submission is for compilation consideration only or if you would like for it to be used for future work. It is very important that if you do NOT want the track used for future work that you specify this.
#4 - Progressive House, Progressive Trance, Progressive Breaks, Short Ambient cuts, and Uplifting Trance will be considered. Please do not submit music that does not fall into these genres.
#5 - The submitted music may not have been released or otherwise been made available to the public (blogs, etc) to be considered for the compilation.
#6 - The track must be an original in which you own the rights to, or a remix that you can license to Olympik.
Please pay strict attention to the rules above and make sure you are following them or you're wasting both your time and my time!
Here is some information on the actual release. It will be a two "disc" mix compilation mixed by yours truly. It will be released through Olympik and possibly Bonzai or another partner label if needed. A partner label will be used if Beatport is not distributing for Olympik yet but I highly doubt this will be the case. Release window appears to be mid to late January depending on some internal business moves by the label to advance it further. (We will be changing aggregators to another aggregator that guarantees Beatport and other highly desired distributors if our current aggregator cannot meet the expectations I set forth with them) The format of the release will feature all tracks available as singles along with the "mix" available if the entire record is bought. This is standard practice. All royalties for every single track on this record at 50/50, so just know that up front. PPD's will be distributed immediately after track listing is confirmed.
Finally, remember that all submissions are 100% confidential and are used only for the purposes in which you allow them to be. If you are not comfortable with submitting your music in fear that it is not good enough, then just put an alias as the producer and create a bogus email. You can always ask for the name to be changed if accepted.!
Thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you again if you decide to submit. There is a lot of talent on this forum and I've found through submissions that many people sell themselves short so please do not be afraid to submit. Again, 100% confidential. I've had quite a few people here submit music to me and they can vouch for this (unless of course it was signed)
ps. Due to the extremely high volume of submissions, reviews will NOT be given on submissions received through December 1st, so please do not submit music in hopes of a review or submit unfinalized projects.
