Let's say you mix in track 1 and 2
You set ouput of track 1 to 1/2
and track 2's output to 3/4
then connect the corresponding outs to the mixer ins...
voilá...you mix with your mixer...

yes technically it works, but you'll only be manipulating the sound going in through the mixer, any changes you do by moving the eq's wont show up on screen but will be audible, also, like the above posts read, you'll still be doing a lot of clicking, for cueing and such, and its easier to get a midi controller, or a mixer with midi capability, Nuo 4's For the win.
