Although given that Pioneer just endlessly rehashed existing models in to incremental upgrades, it doesn't surprise me that their model from 2006 could be upgraded to their 2016 model with just a few cheap parts.
I'm just waiting for the Phase DJ thing and then I'll figure out what interface I want to use. I've got an old ipad lying around doing nothing, or I may build a little piDeck.
