Replacement Headphone Suggestions
After nearly 15 years, my Sony MDR-V-700s are crapping out on me. They were tanks but appear to be discontinued. I’m out of the headphone game. What are you all using these days? If anyone has used the 700s, Im looking for something close to that in terms of sound reproduction. I recall the 7506 are very similar.
Anything else I should check out?
bumpin from last year. Been looking for replacements but I haven't landed on anything yet. Way more options these days than last time I looked 10-15 years ago.
My 7506s are pretty beat up too, this is my second pair. Tried some new earcups from Brainwavz but it's not exactly the same. I think the cans are fried anyway, they're so harsh on the high end they make my ears ring now...(or it's tinnitus getting more noticeable). Be curious to check out some more options.

AudioTechnica ATM M50!
Been using AT headphones since the 90s. They're durable and sound good to me. I started with the ATH M40. Had those for 5-6 years, and loaned them to a friend how magically found a way to break them on a bus ride from LA to SD. I was so mad at him... jajaja... I bought a second pair of M40s and I still have them. Upgraded to the M50 more than 10 years ago and they're still going strong.
