How to make the Cheesy UK house Bass?

Go to http://www.3beatrecords.co.uk/index2.htm

Then E-Store on the left, then click on Scouse house, then search for Fatman in the search thingy. Then click on Fatman scouse.

Right........ (horrible isnt it)

Does anyone know how to make this bass, its used in the here in the uk so much an I swear if I could only figure out how to make it I could have a hit over here.

So does anyone know how to get this bass? I have a wav of a similar one but Id rather be able to create the shite

lol, Klubbheads style bassline. You can do this sort of thing with a Square 303.

Posted by Damie Mckeown on Mar-15-2004 07:41:

yeah, thats the first thing I tried, a Square on the ABL.
Didnt sound much like it

You should be shot for asking people to listen to that crap. Its not a 303, I can tell you that much. The way heaps of songs tend to all have the exact same bassline, I would have to say that everyone is sampling it. Don't know how to make it, sorry.

Standard square wave with low cutoff and a tweaked adsr- few other things done to it- but it can be made on an akai sampler with the standard square wave pretty easily.

you can make it easy enough on a yamaha GM/XG module using careful editing

most ppl dont make em...they just sample them or may already have it as a sample

check out http://www.pkandpianoman.com/samples.shtml

If not a 303 Square then definitely some type of square. That's really about all of the thought I'm willing to put into it

its not a square...its a donk sound with loadsa chorus on it

Posted by Sean Walsh on Mar-15-2004 20:13:

Yes, I know it's a "donk" sound, and "donk" is a sound that can be made with a square. If it wasn't such a vile putrid sound I'd spend an hour making one =P

I spend an hour on the shitter

Did you really have to bring up a 15 year thread just to promo your bullshit?

They're the finest tracks on the internet.

Mainly because they're the only ones left, on the internet.
