the start is repetitive and takes to long to get going but it sounds good 2:20 and on. maybe add a few transitions in the first part to help build it.

the key is very little, just a sidechain. but the bass-sounds are tweaked presets in massive and trillian; nothing fancy. They fit the bassdrums used in key, which is the main thing.

I like this a lot, really well produced. I like the arrangement also, nothing seems too repetitive or over done, the 7mins just passes by

I'm on my 3rd listen, its weird it just gets me thinking/daydreaming of all sorts of shit lol.

I quite like the intro, love the bass sound. I do think though you should change the kick and snare samples, they just don't sound right imo. I think you should also develop the kick into a more fuller pattern as the track progresses. Overall, it was worth a listen, enjoyed it.

Found myself skipping through the start of this, not really a fan of psy, acids sound a little dry.. The break sounds okish but for me the track starts when it kicks back in at 3:17. The kick and bass sound really good, driving and makes you want to move. I would scrap the lot and use that and start something else.

Noticed you've deleted this already.. I know you said paranoia, but come on even if you do say something completely retarded, people forget after a day or two nobodies really bothered

I think the mix of this needs help. It sounds a little dead in the mid range. I agree about the kick and snare samples. They sound a bit like you were going for the style of drums Porter Robinson used in Worlds, but they need a a lot of processing before I think they'd fit the style of the track. Or the rest of the track would need to be richer and bolder so that they don't stick out so much. Huge chords. Like the end of Sea of Voices by Porter Robinson.

This is really well mixed and I like that it feels so driving. It does get a little boring though and could use ear candy.

After spending a totally obnoxious amount of time on this track, I think I've finally nailed it. I've mentioned it before, but I sang the vocals on this one too!

I think this is reaaally good, and one of the most accessible songs for a wider audience I have heard from you. In terms of someone having talent for production, songwriting & vocals all in one, I haven't come across many doing all three as well as this. Best of luck with this one being a breakthrough single.

This one has a lot of potential for making some noise lol - but I would like you to work on your drums pattern (a specially in the areas with this morphing bass lines) to add more dynamics and drive.

Just my $0.02

Thanks, Idk though. The way the drums are set is kind of canon for the genre. I don't really want to complicate them.

Think out of the box, do something different and may work for you - just a suggestion

Had it on my old faithful headphones and the only thing I'd like is to have extremer ducking on kick and snare. I feel the singing on the start could be marginally improved. After that it is awesomeness . Very well done.

When did you listen? I actually just replaced the file on it not very long ago. The drums are very present now.

I'm actually really happy with my vocal take!! I did many! Haha. I ain't winning any idol competitions, I know.

EDIT: Turns out I hadn't actually uploaded my replacement. Derp. I have now.

Sean the drums are spot on - I know this style quite well - lovin your vocals.
The glichy synth lines later on are ok but for me a bit generic but I suspect the audience would still welcome them for a while until tastes change.

Great all round work.

Droid you fucking ****. Awesome tune, and I hate brostep. HAVE THOSE FUCKING VOCALS LOUDER!!! Good thing you found the confidence to actually sing, now find the confidence to turn the vocals up +10db

edit: intro is ok, then at 1:00 *everything else* has to be quieter than vocals and the same is at 2:30something

Thanks! I think the vocals in the chorus should be good now. I also improved the stereo width of them.

I remember this you posted it MONTHS ago, at least the vocals were same.

The vocals work very well, in the breakdown you could try to bring it up little more.

As been said, percussions seems like lil bit maybe lagging behind.

I mean its a slow paced beat nothing like fast DnB, but i would love to hear some rolls or break beat like perc work Matter of taste though.

You'v done very well with this!

I'v been jamming around so much since i got my original axiom to work and apc40 mk2 arrived.

Hope the def limiter didnt completely destroy the levels. Kick seems maybe little bit off?

An early WIP - any thoughts on this? edit I loaded up a better mix

I will do some more feedback on others tracks shortly.

Listened to it a few times, could do with slightly more warm mids present but I guess you don't want to loose that far away fantasy feel for which those sugary hi synths are perfect.

Id maybe drop the drums in at 2.14 instead.
Possible some snare hits should be a lot drier so as to vary things up a bit.

I think you've nailed the style, nice track.

This is my kinda tune, sounds wicked. Mixing is good and I'm not familiar with the structure although it appears to be working for you. I usually bring my bass at the 1:00 min mark. Anyway everything is in tune unlike my stuff lol. anyway good luck with it and cheers.

Heere's mine. I know the climax melody isn't there because for special ima introduce in the break down and outro while taking some stuff out like story teller told me.

Posted by PaULiN0 on Oct-19-2014 12:08:

Huzaaahhh, praise the lord! Yeah i forgot to add crashes and noise sweeps, shits naked hehe. Yeah you're def right mono the bass, will do homie, cheers.

Rich I listened to this a few times b4 you took it down. I thought the songwriting was great, it was catchy (I was even remembering the track the next day which is a good indicator), the sound design didn't seem too sophisticated but a nice track to build on.
