i have a master of science in electrical engineering btw. i type like i think, not like some undergrad teachers wanted me to 15 years ago.

Thats def hard to believe coming from someone like you. I still make my own money on the weekends and weekdays. So basically is that wrong or something in your head. I think its a really good thing in the audio world. Having some place to start, not being the poor loser who has start from the ground up who puts his equipment where he liks and not where its suppose to be.

I really like this!! it's kind of trippy. I think that big saw sound in the break is neat if that's you're referring to as the lead. I think it works.

This track I have here is... weird. To say the least. I did a vocal track and I don't even know what to qualify it as this point, though, I know It's going to drop into some dubstep... right now it's just the break, bridge and chorus. Happy with it so far!

Sounds awesome to me. The vocal work sounds really pro. The only thing I noticed as a listener was it sounded like the snare during the breakdown is filtered in, and I might fade it in using the volume instead for that particular snare, but that is a very minor thing. Getting a microphone cable myself this week to start recording some vocals.

yes its a bit weird? but i still listened to it, almost like something you would hear in one of those teen american highschool tv shows or something if it was slowed down!

Quite a catchy pop tune. Vocals are good, supporting structure is good.

Liked the drop, though I thought the beatdown section would be a little more varied/interesting right after the drop. (1:25 to 1:34)

It's like, yeah here's the drop! And the beatdown is kinda meh. Small little section at 1:37 was cool, but then it goes back into the repeat mode of a far too similar synth.

Don't get me wrong, it's good, but with a little added complexity it could be better than good.

Have heard some of your other stuff which has some of that nice complexity/varience in the beatdowns...would add more of that kinda thing after the drop.

Also, what's with the gigantic soundcloud embeds...size that shit down, mofo's.

Oh, yeah, thanks man! I actually didn't even have the drop on there when I uploaded the track haha. I just replaced the audio file on Soundcloud to show a friend and forgot I posted it here. The drop isn't done!

Not bad evolve, sounds good and warm.

Scale used is G minor and i know i have to add a lead soon but i just finished re-recording things so i'll add it soon.

Posted by Looney4Clooney on Jun-01-2014 20:53:

i think you might be using headphones which does mess with perceived bass pitch

Posted by PaULiN0 on Jun-03-2014 15:42:

Yup, There's alot of tracks that have the subass on f that uses gminor scale.

Posted by PaULiN0 on Jun-03-2014 20:59:

Yep it is, you got me, my fault on that. The original project subbass was F and its the bass station 2 waveform clip so i forgot to change it, no biggie.

Posted by PaULiN0 on Jun-03-2014 21:44:

Um i rendered a a crashed project from before that didn't save my work on the subass perhaps?

Hasn't been much posted on here recently. The one I am posting is pretty crazy and a bit cheeky. I like the concept, but I find big energy tracks tough to pull off.

i think maybe you are cutting too much low frequencies after each break, sounds very highpassed which in turn make the high end sound like its boosted
also the breakdowns are a bit long and the piano is not for me

Hey thanks for the feedback. Do you mean the climaxes sound like they are missing some low end?

I dunno, the kick is fairly heavy in the low mids, its one of those kicks that would really boom on a club system i think

think you may have taken the track down but from what i remember listening earlier the leads and other stuff appeared to be high passed a bit too much, made it sound a bit sharp and not really "full" if you get me?
