My room/lounge/club setup:
I live in a fraternity house (big mistake), but the upside is I get to DJ in my own room for big parties! My roomate and I built the entire room from scratch basically. The DJ setup has a plexiglas cover that goes over it and locks making the area into a useable bar.
I have a:
Stanton SMX-401 Mixer
2 Numark TT1625 Turntables
Pioneer HDJ-1000 Headphones

Originally posted by Luke Cartwright Its great, took a little while for me to get used to it but now I'm fine with it and it feels like just another deck minus the tonearm. I can't really scratch so I don't use it for that I just mix with it and have had no problems, but my mate came rnd the other day and showed me some really neat tricks so think I'm gonna learn. The effects are brilliant I find a new thing to do with it every time I go on it. I have done a video mix with it check the link below and you can see for yourself, I have only managed to upload half of it so far my upload speed aint great so it takes a while. Video Mix Part 1 |

Originally posted by DannyO Good to hear, I'll be sure to check out the video when I get home, I wonder if they are gonna use that effects unit in there new mixer there gonna release soon, if so, it could be a serious piece of kit with those effects and that wheel, I wish they would make the CDX look like a normal deck, I would seriously consider it. EDIT: Wicked setup crrrazydan. |

Originally posted by Luke Cartwright Also when I bought the CDX the guy in the shop said they are making a CDX2 which will be a cd and turntable hybrid version. |
finally got better pics of my stuff
so i actually took some decent pics with a decent camera.....here we go:
two 1200mk5's
two cdj100s
pioneer djm-3000
plus, (as you can see) there are also lights, lasers, and 3 fog machines....sure i only need one, but i used to mobile so i have 3 anyway. it's cool to see so many good bedroom set ups. you know you're in trouble when your 'bedroom' setup is better then the club/bar you play at, and believe me it happens!
nice setup
but how do you take such nice pictures?? i have a olympus digital camera but the pictures suck.. they cant focus so close to the turntables or m,ixer to get that awesome closeup effect
hey well i moved all my stuff up to my room (used to be in the basement) and decided it was time to post new pictures of the both my friend and i own!
2 x Technics 1210 Mk2
Numark DM3001X
Pioneer HDJ1000
the breezer caps cover the beatthingies incase anyone was wondering
