No, i know. It's just the cost you have to pay to be using that all the time. I mean it seems like a computer and a sequencer would save you so much. Maybe you don't get the mixing console but at least you can work whenever you want and you don't have to pay each time you do.

Posted by kitphillips on Dec-10-2008 05:52:

Nice fitout, but ah... wheres the gear?
Like they have two sampler keyboards and an akai, plus a couple of 24 (or 32?) channel mixing consoles. But I can't even see anything that looks like a decent rack in there?

Posted by jupiterone on Dec-10-2008 06:31:

eh, those are only the online photos, didn't take any photos of most of the gear around the place

Posted by Acton on Dec-10-2008 09:20:

So how much was it an hour then?

I'm guessing around $350-$400 per hour, am i close?

Updated pics of the studio in the new space!

I have sold most of my old hardware to finance the new monitors, but I have kept a couple of digital PCM synths and recently added a Roland JD-800! I think I'm going to stick with the vintage hardware route for the time being.

The full studio

The JD-800

MOTU 24 I/0, MOTU MIDI Express, Presonus Central Station, Korg Triton Rack, Roland JV-1080

Apple Mac Pro, Muse Research Receptor, Secondary audio PC

Here is all I'm working with right now. I plan to add a few things next month, but I can't decide what I want. I'm getting tired of using only software.

Pretty Jealous of this guys studio!
Still loving that chair!

Posted by DJ Robby Rox on Dec-23-2008 17:22:

I agree, you can have a $100,000 studio but if your chair sucks you might as well burn the studio.

I should take a pic of my chair later, you guys would laugh, it looks like its built for a 6 year old. Biggest POS in the world lol

Posted by alanzo on Dec-23-2008 18:23:

Hah. I actually don't like the chair much. It doesn't support good posture which leads to poor productivity. It *is* nice n' cozy, though.

I'm going to take a new set of pics after the holiday. I completely rewired my studio. It's very clean and precise now.

That's pretty awesome. How much is rent in a place like that?
