Was wondering if the break here sounds out of place? Was thinking maybe it needs more signifier of a drop? Watch out its loud as fuck.

The position of the break doesn't sound out of place to me, but the loud noise does kick in pretty fast once the break starts, so its kinda like "break for a second or two and noise".

EDIT:

After listening to it a few more times I do think the build could be a bit louder / have a bit more noise which could make the break less jarring in terms of noise. So even though you build up with higher volume levels / noise, it still sounds like a break while having that noise that rolls off of the build.

thanks for the comment, i did actually think that bass needed to come up more so that confirms it for me!

the break is ok in your track, i just cant get past the distorted sound. Love the bassline, very mean and dark...

I do agree on the kick,not that it sounds muddy but it could use more lower frequency. Maybe even a sub under the kick,not alot...just a good presence. Do tell when it's finished!

Ok...so after months of getting on to this bass kick I have decided to give a go at a Trance track. It's been probably 10 years since I have even attempted to make one but thought it would be a good change of pace.
This is a true WIP in it's raw state. Thoughts?

hey guys. newest production! yeah, last track I posted was pretty lame, but it was a step forward as I'm trying to get on my feet in the deep house area.

Yeah this is awsome, you def have some skill in the trance area genre and you should keep at it. This is warm nice and lush. Mixing sounds good and proper, waiting to hear what the rest will sound like.

Nice synth work and bass, but as the drums are I'd suggest a more original hat and clap.

I think it is good so far. The hihat and clap are a bit dated sounding to my ear and the white noise sweep too loud. The direction it is going with the arp coming in near the end seems like the rest of the song could develop into something nice.
