Thank you. I've got a wishlist hehe, I don't really feel the need for more gear right now. Mostly replacements. I want a better soundcard (audiophile 2496 right now), better monitors (got behringer b2031 now) and a better dj mixer (also cheap ass behringer). I expect a big check coming in, but I don't know when it's coming yet .. I'm aiming to buy a motu828 and some dynaudio monitors... Still debating between Air15 or the lot cheaper bm15a... I don't know... Maybe something else :P

well then if u want to change from cheaper brands look forward to a quality brands this what will make u feel the difference

Storyteller, I would make the Monitors the last priority - they're probably the best thing that Behringer has made.

The mixer should go first I reckon as it's a dog......

The soundcard (same as mine) is actually not bad at all but you do hear the difference when you use something like a Motu.

Sweet set up though - Have you though of China Cones for the speakers?

Yea I got the old ones, the first batch. They're better sounding (less bass-heavy) than those currently in the shops . However I'm really looking forward to something high(er)-end. I really notice the speakers are holding me back at this moment. They'e just not working for me anymore... Once I have new monitors these will be connected to my dj set :P

Probably going for a passive volume control or none at all again when I get that MOTU. I'll probably be buying it somewhere next month if I'm lucky . The speakers will def have to wait as a pair is going to set me back at least 2400Euro (max 4000E). Pretty steep price hehe, but probably worth every penny . I want it to be a long-term investment which will make me happy for at least 5-10 years.

yeas . I had the creative audigy (1) platinum before I got the audiophile. In retrospect the audigy wasn't worth it's price (250Euro), it kept causing blue screens, crashes etc.. The audiophile offers way better sound quality for way less. I love the audiophile card, my computer has never been more stable since I got it .

Really looking forward to the motu though, 4 stereo ins/outs and superb quality... can't wait

Thanks. Not really, I prefer speaker stands .

damn, that looks so sick...

tortoise - for some reason, i really like this mixer... but i'm still getting used to the eq, and the mixer in general. -i've tried recording my self mixing w/this thing, i hate how i sound, and i make mistakes i wouldn't make w/my other mixer.

i think i still prefer my pmc-55 w/the rotary kit, but i'm still having a good time w/the pmc-37.

Fuck. You just made me seriously jealous. Not only do you have a PMC37 which is a good mixer anyway, but you have PMC55 with rotaries - my absolute favourite mixer, and quite possibly the best mixer ever made.

No arguments there- used to love playing on the 55's!
A rare beastie too nowadays

nice to see some pmc-55 fans on here! =-)

the rotary kit literally changed my life. -this is the holy grail for me. =-)

it's a shame that the people i usually play with, don't like rotaries. i end up having to slap the fader kit back on everytime we do a party because the rotaries don't jive w/the derek may/stacey pullen/claude young way of throwing it down.

the pmc-37 is nice, but it can't touch the pmc-55 w/rotaries when it comes to smooth mixing. here the rotary is king.

I use a PMC 46mk2 now myself.... can't stand faders now!

nice! i'm in the same situation as you, where i'm happy with my gear, but my space sucks...once the space is good, i'll finally feel comfortable making music here for long dirations of time (i'm in a freakin living room making music, doesn't get much worse than that).

Yeah, especially since they don't sell them new anymore. I got the last one from ZZounds about 3 months ago...

Posted by DJDIRTY on Aug-11-2007 01:50:

Nl3 is nice especially when you run it true some nice effect box or plug.. Anyways, Does anyone here own a Nord g2 or the g2x or the g2 engine?? I haven't seen anyone talk about it on this site at all.

You can download the editor for free here - http://www.clavia.se/main.asp

and play around with it for free. It is great for anyone who wants to learn how synthesizers work, and how to create sounds from scratch. Highly recommended and ton's of fun. And If you can get your hands on the hardware to go along with it, it's tons of fun.

Can you add your own samples into the electribe drum machines?
I here some of these korg drum machines have tubes on the output...
The price is great too!
Would be nice if they you could add samples since I love to have a hardware step sequencer that works like the redrum but I like the flexibility of using my own drum sounds...

You can do that with redrum also?! Tubes are something different though.

looks nice....clean and simple. however, in my opinion, when you own a ti you lose the right to call it 'not much'
