Im really trying to look at the arrangement and the song more than anything ATM.

Bit unsure about the arrangement ATM. Once weve sorted it we will rerecord vocals and produce it/ mix it down proper

Thanks

Really nice mate, really cool and sweet chillout vibe is moving along this WIP - almost can feel "SOUL" style dominating it and that's good, really good sign man - me like it

If I would have a chance to tweak something in this track I would spice up a bit this part at 1:34 (maybe by adding a secondary synth underneath of the first one)

Cheers,

Darek

It is something really memorable man and with proper arrangement can grow to pretty sweet production.

Try to add more reverb on your intro guitar and after (let say) 16 bars slowly start to unwind your melodic arrangement with some additional sounds/instrument - and vocal would be really cool addition to this type of track.

You can contact soundcloud.com/zefora for this particular task as she really shine in this style (and she is from Portland, OR)

Cheers mate,

Darek

Really nice track man. Liking the timing of the little bass sound u have there, and the sound itself. The basics of the track sound really good, more work on this and it could sound huge!

did some more work on this, bit different than usual so any feedback is appreciated, cheers

Is this your own concept or just remix??

sounds like activa, nice vibe with the kick and bass. maybe not enough happening on the melodic side, but that's also something activa does sometimes

yeah sometimes i make techno

the jazzy percussion and the swing work together pretty well, it felt almost like a purdie shuffle. love the pad at the end, might be a bit colorful for what you have so far though. i am kinda missing a strong clap or snare presence on the 2 and 4, combined with the swinging hihats this isn't driving so much as shambling. i don't like that little squelch at all, sorry. overall, good foundation!

By now you will probably know that this is completely not my style lol but I would say that whatever you are doing in this WIP works for me man. I still would like to hear more Industrial elements in it (particularly in second part of it) or perhaps more Industrial FX swiping throughout this production - my $0.02

Cheers man,

Darek

Then you are definitely on the right track with this production.
Some addition of melodic elements would benefit this (specially second part of your) track.

I like where you going with it so far, good effort.

Cheers mate,

Darek

cheers for the feedback man. agree with the melodic side was trying to make things sparse etc but think might go back to it and add in more stuff,

lol, you are fast S. - and when you look at my replay (to his post) you will see that we are completely in agreement on this melodic part

Cheers,

cool i shall check out your stuff!

which squelch dont you like? the lower volume one?
i didnt intend it to be driving, so "shambling" it is thanks for the feedback!

that wet fart kinda sound

Derek: Thanks a lot. Actually what you have suggested ive been doing already. At this point in the WIP theres no synths at all. That chorus sound is a Rohdes and Accoustic piano layerd, and i agree it needs a synth layer on top (already added a virus pad on it)

Im working on some synth sounds to fill in the tune atm

Richard. Cheers mate. I want to re record cos i just got a really good mic (Neuman U87 AI) and it should really make a difference. Also i have some suggestions for the singer for next time

There is a bass but prob not prominent enough at this time? Working on it now

Evo: Ta mate

Great mix and soundscape, and yeah I think a little more melodic interest when the drums are in would not go a mis.

On point grove yet again, lovely techno mate. IMO not too much else needed, just a 'distinctive' element here n there like, I dunno a weird goblin talk or something just so it becomes unique.
