Nice clean and simple setup, really nice.
How do you find the M-Audio Keystation 49e?

thank you, appreciate it

It does all I need it to do, play simple riffs and test out sounds ect. If I was really into playing piano I wouldn't like it as much for the lack of weighted keys, but if that doesn't bother you, this is the best keyboard for you money.

OK it's more or less finished! Considering some monitor stands, but that will probably be further down the line....

CLICK HERE FOR A HUGE HI RES PIC

Stuff:

Computer - 4600 AMD X2 Athlon, M-Audio Audiophile
Software - FL Studio
Keyboard - Edirol PCR30
Monitors - Mackie HR624, with some of that foam shit to stand on.
Mixer - Behringer Xenyx

One more thing I need is decent monitoring headphones, probably something like AKG or Beyerdynamic.

I should've removed the covers from speakers...but whatever! :-)

I wonder why you need mixer?

Posted by RickyM on Dec-27-2006 18:09:

To connect the monitors to. The mixer is then connected to the soundcard on my PC.

Mr Michael - yeah I find the keyboard great, just having problems with latency at the minute, any ideas on how to improve it? I'm using FL5.

Did you try turning your audio buffer down? Go to File > Audio Settings and turn the buffer length down.

So I should have that knob further to the left?

I'll try that, thanks Davey.

Yeah, if you move it all the way to the left it will be pretty much realtime, but it will start chopping up. I have a tendency to start way to the left and move my way up the scale as my track starts getting more complex, heh.
