crappy phone picture. Just received my new sound card and monitor speakers. New desk in 2 weeks so i can arrange everything correctly, including the reintroduction of my m-audio midi keyboard.

What you see (obvious i think):

- 2x KRK rp5
- M-Audio firewire audiophile
- Laptop intel pentium M 1.7 with 768 MB ram
includes:
- Cubase SX 2
- Reason
- Vst's (z3ta, albino 2, pro-53, some others...)

- Technics RP-DJ1210 headphones

I had the 2.1 but same speakers. They DO sound awfull. Mixing needs monitors. it just does.

I believe it's a plastic can taped on as some sort of ventilation shaft. Good idea for some nice exta cooling of the man behind the machine hehe

Posted by T-Soma on Jul-05-2006 09:55:

Wierd. For PC computer cases to be certified dont they need to have an external vent+fan just for the CPU? Maybe thats it.

No, its actually a cup taped on with a hole facing from me. The fan dries out my eyes.

i see that it is a simple yet very, very effective set-up. if you know how to use everything you got, you could do some major damage . maybe some of your vst plugins consist of pro-53 and absynth ? very clean, btw.

Thanks Nutsan

All Man..im loving the BCF2000. Its very percise and I dont know how or if i ever could live with out it now. LOL and the motorized faders are good working with Reason, Project 5, and Ableton!

Next on my "To Get List" is the BCR2000 with all the knobs! Thats going to be GREAT for tweaking out my sounds and things.

it's fricken sexy alright but if i had all that stuff, i think i would be too clustered and lose my creativity . which is why lavish's set-up is very nice to me .

btw, i noticed that almost everyone here has a midi controller. i wonder if a person like me who doesn't have any idea on the chords/notes/theory and no musical background should get one too? i sort of find my keys by trial and error and draw notes using just my ears to judge. i do try to press some notes using the keyboard (laptop). but of course, i do get comments that my pads are off key sometimes when i think it sounds just alright.
