(also in my sig).

For years now I've been incorporating music from this message board into my DJ sets, especially the early years.

Is another set of mine that I enjoy, and most of it is music from the production studio or the music promotion section of the forums.

Ben Acosta Colors Vol. 2 Mix:

I really enjoyed this mix. It has that mix CD feel too it to me which is what I am hoping to find from DJs on this forum.

Ben Acosta Live at the Avenue:

This mix has a lot of different genres, which I think is a good thing, and a lots of different good songs. I also like that you used several productions from this forum (including one of mine!). I don't get a strong overall journey like structure from the mix, as much as just a lot of good music for 2 hours. But that is really more of what most audiences want to see live I guess. Good mixing and set overall!

Hey folks,

Been a while since I popped back.
I guess I will have to band wagon and promote my own shit.

I used to enjoy when DJs used to play long developing sets so threw one together a while back. Back in a time when they were not obsessed with promoting their label and own productions. To be honest I think I have at least one mash up in there but I given that there are nearly 60 tracks in there I figured no one would notice.

It's a 5 hour session which is a tribute to the Ibiza scene when it was at its peak.

Of course it may just put you to sleep, and I found that the amount of time was detrimental to obtaining listeners but I actually really enjoyed recording it. It's also done in one take.

Actually, if I had to recommend anyone it would have to be my man Jon Cockle.

I had the privilege of playing on the same night as him in Brighton late last year.
Worth a listen.

Cheers

Nice mix! It's a bit long for me, I had to listen to it in several sessions (and I started listening a month or two ago!). The length is more of a problem since it is on mixcloud, and I would lose my place, and it would take a while to load, etc. If I had the mp3, it would have been easier to get back into quickly.

Lots of classics in the mix, I was really digging the last track but it cut out (I guess as long as it is, it isn't even the whole thing!).

Great mix overall, technically, and the tracklist is really good.

I think I have listened and given some brief feedback to all of the mixes that have been posted in here so far. I hope ppl will continue to post mixes in here and I plan to keep listening and responding (though it may take me a few months)!
