Do you really want something THAT loud? just something to think about.

yeah, I'll only use the sub for parties.
Now that you mention it I usually turn down the monitor on my right. The side I use for monitoring.

Yeah it's hard to beatmatch with them close to your ears (if they are not turned down), but it's harder to EQ if you don't have them near your ears. So there's really no way to escape it than to turn them down. For small monitors as they are, they are quite loud.

Nerdgirl,

200's and the 400 is perfect IMO. Not overkill for a bedroom setup but still plenty of potential.

new pics of my setup with speakers... space is limited and there r too many speakers dotted about (5.1 at the minute) waiting on my 2.1 speakers coming from dolphin but with it being easter i'm having to wait! i do have stands from my old setup tho which will probly come into play - need to find somewhere sensible to put the sub however..

Really loving this setup. Really simple, but so practical

I think it once again needs to be reiterated that everyone in Australia knows better than to drink Fosters, and it is made purely to con people outside of Australia into buying expensive "import" beer

rp5 monitors with an rp10 under the table. i made the monitor stands exactly ear level, its a small room so the sound is amazing, i can't stress enough how important it is to have quality cables, and proper speaker placement.

dats my boy!

back to topic, my set up is way too basic to post a pic IMO

2X Technics SL1200 MKIIs
1X Numark DXM 06
2X Phonic P8A studio monitors
1X Technics RP-DJ1200 headphones
1X Blue lava lamp FTW!

plus 1 metronome to work out and lable BPM of my records

Posted by mr_fisken on Apr-12-2007 10:07:

Its the basic setup that almost everyone here seem to have but I can see why cause its affordable and reliable

CDJ 200
DJM 400
KRK RP5
Sennheiser HD25-sp1
iMac
Behringer F-control (fca202) audio

I have been thinking about how to place the speakers and now I know how so in the next few weeks I will create speaker brackets for the wall.

I feel like I never really get done with buying my equipment but now Its only the cheapest thing left the m-audio 02 keyboard and some nice hed kandi prints for the wall

Only two places I found the stand. On Ebay and one retailer online. Here's the model number if you're interested.
Yorkville SKS36B
