For detailed mixing that doesn't work, even if they are loud, most of us would simply turn the volume down!!

I face them that way too...it keeps the tonearms out of the way. I learned that way because it was the only way it would fit on my first dj table way back in the day. Now I prefer it.

To answer everyones questions.

1. DannyO has the decks turned battle style as that is generally the only way we can fit his setup and my CDJ's on the booth. Those photos were taken not long after our NYE party where we had my CDJ's out. He's a lazy twat and prolly didn't turn them round. However he will attest that he has no problems mixing battle style.

2. The speakers have been facing out away from the booth since it was setup. Mixing was not a problem with them setup that way... Not to mention we had them faced like that for the NYE party..

.... god I hang out with him to much if I can answer that stuff...

..........WTF

Thats all completely true, I have them like that due to extra gear coming over, the speakers are like that from the party, I have no problem mixing like that, even with one ear mixing, the speakers can be turned really easily to face the DJ.

and yes I am lazy, but JDigital is the twat.

That is a little imagination and Home Depot!

the white horizontal rack is that closet organizer stuff upside down.. the vertical sections are white wood shelving and the back cross braces are some decking shit that was the right length. few screws, few washers.. and TaDa! all sits on top of any table / surface.

He lives in a dorm, but luckily he's the RA on his floor.... so we just turned them up. I walked all the way down the hall and could still feel the bass.

Bah, LED's. To many buttons and things to distract the eye. Though I did enjoy the shot of someones 1000s with their djm800 in the dark, they go well together. I'll concede that.
