i cant really afford it, should be paying off my credit cards, lol. I just enjoy it more than cd's. The smirnoff, that's gone now, finished it today

Great mixer (have it myself), love the addiction to vinyl !

vinyl addiction = bane of my existance

purchasing 150 records in 3 months hurts wallet much !!

wow that rane is a SOLID ass mixer. is the expansion really worth it? what else does it add besides eq? thats like a club grade installation mixer right there..

Yeah it's a great mixer alright, I've even though about selling my Xone 92 rotary and picking that up instead (I like the knobs and spacing better).

The expansion obviously adds the EQ', the master VU meter, and the crossfader (which is so oddly placed it's not the most useful). I think the expansion unit is like $500, which really is worth it.

DannyO, I love the lighting in your DJ booth. Solid table. Love the design, did you build it yourself? How do you like the Denon DN X1500? I'm thinking of maybe eventually upgrading to one.

Hey DannyO, same question as Glassball. How do you like the Denon x1500? What are the good and bad points about the mixer? Also, what mixer did you have before the Denon and how does it compare? Just curious. I am thinking about getting the same mixer. I was previously thinking about getting the Denon x900 but now I am wondering whether I should just save the extra money and buy a x1500. Let me know. Thanks.

Thanks guys, yea I built the table myself, its a temporary table till I finally get round to building what I really want, but at the moment I wouldn't be able to transport my new design unless I decide to make my new table a modular one, so this will do for now.

As for the mixer, I really do love it, mainly due to it having so many features of which they can all be combined, this one has been treated fairly well, and has not had any problems in the 18 months or so that I have had it, before this one I had a loaner one, until a new one arrived, and I SERIOUSLY put that one threw its paces for about a week, and that one also did not have any problems, the only real problem with this mixer is the delay in the channel faders, don't expect to do any fast fades on them, other than that, the little buttons do feel cheap, but have not broken or anything, it really is a top notch mixer, especially for the price that they can be picked up for, you will really love the effects, the features on the sampler, and the matrix system and how you can make them all work together are awesome.

Before this mixer, I didn't own any good mixers that are even worth mentioning, but I played out a fair amount in england and got to play on all sorts, mainly the DJM500/600 though, but have played on a rack mount Rane (which I believe is the one in the pics above, dunno for sure, been a long time) Ecler Nuo5, Ecler Smac40, and some other mixers that I really can't remember (never really paid attention to what the mixer was when I played on new gear, as well, it didn't matter to me) but the x1500 still impressed me alot, you really won't be disappointed.

yea, it works out ok. i kept the main unit on top because it makes it easier to access the cables.

i sold my xone a few years ago to get this, which i love. and yes, i do use all the channels.

i've been using a djm-800 at the club i play at, and i'm starting to really like it too...might need to get me one

Yeah, that Rane is an amazing mixer. I used to use that at a club here in Philly, and I loved it. I love the table too.
