Originally posted by n3lly In 14 days time, i'll be flying into thailand. Spending 3 weeks there (mainly the islands) and then from there i'm moving on to sydney. Staying there for 3 months or so, down to melbourne, on to brisbane maybe (basically going up the coast at this stage). Might spin over to Perth at some stage and do a bit of the west coast as well. Then on to New zealand and Fiji for maybe a month to 6 weeks in total. Then I've got to see where my money situation is at. If i have the funds i'd be tempted to either hit the states or south america. Otherwise i'll be going back to thailand and staying there for another 4-8 weeks. I use serato, so doubt i'll be able to get a good setup going out there as i wont have cd's with me. Anyway it's a sacrifice worth making, i know that and i'm not complaining, but as with everything. It's when something is taken away from you that you realise how much you're going to miss it.. nelly edit: To answer your question though, i'm travelling. Also i would love to dj while away but i'm not good enough yet to play out as such, so my only realy way of spinning would be by flook. Finding someone with a set up, and EDM (most importantly).. |

Originally posted by DannyO Nice plan man, that sounds killer. Don't you know anyone in Australia with a DJ setup, or maybe some other TAs who are there that you could meet up with?, if you take your laptop, who knows, maybe you will meet someone with Serato as well. |

And just so we stay on topic, here are a few pics i took a while ago that i forgot about.
Nothing special, was just fooling around.
And what everything looks like at the moment.. a mess to say the least. Set up is in my garage now (upstairs).. The table's had to be moved down a few times.... NOT FUN! this thing weighs in at around 80 kilos if not more. But George is a fan at the moment. He even makes little jokes when you push his buttons

as far as the light-blue vs dark blue for the cdjs goes it just has to do with lighting
cheers

It's not always the case, but in these pics I can tell. Probably has to deal with the camera and the lighting and whatnot. Ah well, nice set up. It's just that with the 400 mixer I haven't seen the necessity to pay so much for a 2 channel mixer. That's why I got my 500, it's a bit older, and was a bit more expensive, but it gets the job done and has room for expansion. |

Originally posted by King Luis its awesome, the sound it so clear, everything works smooth. the mixer's effects are cool..(still trying to figure the in-loop sampler out and get better at mixing) but it is a nice setup. thanks for the compliments....i'll try and get some nice higher res artistic pictures later. |
when its in a loop, i'll press pause and with the jog dial just look for the beat like a vinyl, because its in pause it'll play that spot of the song over and over quickly. therefore finding the beat.
ahh never thought of pausing it
cheers might start trying cdj mode in my 800s.
