Thanks. I've updated previous post, added some proggy synth in the middle, like it so far.

Kinda worn out after the last tune...but I've been fiddling around with some sound design. Pretty barebones since I was just using it as a template to program pad / bass / 2 sine leads, but I might do something with this.

Sounds nice so far, you should do something with this

This synth at 0:31 need to have less reverb on it as create some unintended effect.

Question, that sine bass tone you have. It sounds pretty wide. You have it in mono? Be a big difference with something underneath as the sub region is not hitting low enough to that tone. High pass that bass

It's not mono. High pass the bass and use something else for sub? Yeah, maybe, it sounds like it's choking the mix a bit. I didn't hear this on speakers yet.

Thanks for listening

Posted by gordan100 on Feb-22-2018 17:33:

I've changed the bass. Stabs are to harsh probably.

Posted by SystematicX1 on Feb-23-2018 06:32:

Ok, a few things. First, your sub is loud and over taking the track. I would for sure EQ that kick as well, add some ducking on that bass. Let your kick shine more (remember on those low frequency's = mono)
personally, I like the stabs. On a personal side, I would add some verb to it and play around to see if I could get a more flowing atmospheric backend.
But yea, turn that bass down and let your highs shine a bit more, adjust your bass and kick and your on to something

Thanks, yeah, it doesn't sound nice enough yet. Didn't realize that sub was so overtaking, i have even turn it down here I'll try to play more with the drums and bass.

MUCH Better man, and I am sure you can hear the difference. Lots more dynamics are shining. Not sure If I really dig that arpy rolling bass but, you have a much cleaner palette to work on

It sounds better, but the content is messy as always Lack of talent.

Here is some music for inspiration i've been listening lately. Not trance, mainly synthpop and new wave. It's an 80's music list from ex Yugoslavia, so nobody here has probably ever heard this before. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?li...ExnUvbFIhXKCp1J

Yea thats hella nice, reminds me of some older stuff Id listen to that was more care-free.

I decided to reinstall my daw last night, and more mediocre messy trancey progressive ensued. its very bland, and im too shit to cut the bass into pieces so I can mix it better.

Wow Mac, this is a really nice idea and groove and sounds pretty good to me. I'm very happy when you make some "mediocre messy progressive" music.

Fuck Mac, this is pretty amazing. You better finish it and release it.

This whole thing sounds very early nineties. I'm not sure if that was the vibe you were going for, but it's not a sound I'm very keen on.

This here is a track that's just me testing some new software synths. I'm not really sure if it'll ever go anywhere.

Sounds nice, soft with good dynamics. Nice start of something.

Yeah, I don't really know what to do with it. It's not a style I'm familiar with at all.

Dont know what the label decided to do with it, I can only speculate as to why. Stiven Rivic Co-Owner, told me it was going to be released. I apologize I suppose but not my control, not my label.

If you're interested, you can rename the track to an original, stick it on an ep or something and use the stems as I ofcourse do not mind.

michaelandlevan@hotmail.com is the mistique label email, please email if you need more clarification, as I do not contact them anymore; I would like to leave that stuff in the past. Hope you understand.
