I agree. I still have my pair of 1210's MK2's that I purchased brand new for $399 back in the 90's. I rarely use them outside of my studio so they're in excellent condition. The only thing I've done to them was replaced the RCA's with the thicker Technics RCA's. Other than that, they're just as I bought them and store on Anvil ATA Flight Cases for extra safety.

You can get factory refurbished stokyo technics MK1210 MK5's for 700-800. at turntable lab.com


Me, I'm waiting for the lower model of the new techs so right now i got the Rane mp2015

I have no idea whay anyone would buy a tech clone. You can still find boxed new techs (if you look hard enough) or amazing condition second hand, and then now that the new models are coming, I can;t see any logic in getting anything other than the real deal.
