I still have a remix pack on my hardrive but it isnt as extensive as my last remix pack(its only like 50mb...) you can have it if you want it. The track is a bit odd though...

its literally just a collection of like 8 wav's and I believe it was 125bpm.

Your sub bass, (which I am assuming is part of your Strings/Pads) is really coming through in a wide spectrum which is not good. I would use some good EQ work on it.
Or, are you using a separate sub? If there is,is there a delay on it? Is it in mono? Seems to fill up the space in a wide spectrum which is not good for that low of a frequency.
I would also challenge you to start working with delay's and reverb. These can add a lot of atmosphere to a track.

Keep it up man, sounding better each one and that is what you want.

Thanks! Yeah, sub bass is comming from strings, there is too much warming filter on it i guess, and a big amount of delay too. But there is some pumped up sub on that pad/bass line too. I've noticed that overall volume is low, usualy that happens when i'm overdoing reverb or warming filters... I have to listen this on good monitors, this was purely headphone mix.

extremely difficult to judge sub bass on headphones

Yea im digging that breakbeat gordan. I'd imagine its probably best to split your frequnecy up if you're adding to reverb most of the time unless you want a desired full on effect. What i've done in the past is copy the sound over and then apply the reverb or delay starting at 250hz and above and use the original dryer signal for the rest; its bullshit but it helps the mix.

So after hearing my last wip on speakers I was pretty appalled, I did another take, although I dont necessarily enjoy this bass more because I lost some of the feeling the last one added but the sound design is better, I couldn't wrangle my old one. The bass here is too loud and the notes will probably be changed at some point.

gonna be that person and say that somehow i preferred the first take, had more feeling to it

Nice both of you, works. and im not an expert at mud so im not one to ask but i'd say you're on the right track. Some people use spectrum frequency analyzers to help them out with conflicting frequencies.
