Nice, also very analogue
Nice creamy mixes from Raphie and Tehlord. Your drums are much better for me now Raphie and that's a very clear mix you bastad.
Tehlord yes I enjoy that arp.
Here is hip hop track. This rapper / singer sent me wet fx'd vocals and nothing more, and this is what I came up with
Trying to use a lot less fx and verb than I usually do on synths

Originally posted by cryophonik Nice work, Raphie! Really dig that bass and lead synth. I've added this to the SFAFM playlist. |

Originally posted by SystematicX1 tehlord, is that opening arp from the Microbrute? dope! hope you don't just keep that as a test |

[b]Originally posted by tehlord jeeze! That's pounding my ears on my Focal cans, but not in a bad way. |

Originally posted by SystematicX1 Richard, this is actually very cool. Are you still in production or are you fairly satisfied with your composition? I really like the arrangement, at the same time I feel you could hit a bigger impact with shortening it down. The vibe is cool however, to me it feels up and down in groove (1:30-2.28 leading to the drop). I guess my point is if the composition was more of a slower build to start and consistently builds thereafter..I think you have a real solid modern track there. Really dig this and commend you for branching out. Your getting so good with vibe now man |

Originally posted by Richard Butler cheers I've done a ton of tracking and mixing since u heard it, I'm happy with it now cheers Broth |
New D&B remix I've been messing with. The impact/crash parts...I dunno, beginning to think it isn't necessary? At the same time, I haven't tried the kicks w/o the crashes on top....hmmm

Originally posted by Richard Butler Hearthis is a pain, I can't seem to be able to rewind, move around which is useful when considering feedback. Anyway, my feedback is that the first snare is not quite right mate, it's a bit standard dubstep sounding from a few years ago, maybe something lighter and more snappy could be better there. The main drums later on - well the crash didn't really bother me, but you could do with just better drums all round IMO with shuffled snares behind (Amen like, but careful not to go for standard default amens as that can be a bit lame) I think the bass sound is nice but you could make some of the note changes more engaging especially on the end 4 or 8 measures. Keep working at it, DnB is never easy |

Originally posted by Evolve140 It's cool man but I'd like to hear the hats driving the track a bit more |
Thanks for that Evolve, appreciate your input. And I do agree. I am thinking because it's not fully mixed that the second chorus hats isn't coming through that well.
Original is Ellie Ghoulding On My Mind
