A house track you can download if you wish

Feat a rapper called New5ense

Posted by Evolve140 on Feb-16-2016 23:09:

it's kinda cool but the leads and synths and stuff sound pretty rushed, like cheesy but major preset sounds. no offense it just sounds kind of forced.

Exactly what I thought after posting it up Evolve. It was done very quickly. Just a bit of free cheese!

Another ++ sound from you, deffo finnish. Very imaginative.

Wut u think of this one

Posted by soulstar606 on Feb-20-2016 06:37:

the intro is really cool, i really like that.....but then once the beat kicks in it just fizzles into mediocre boring.....after that unique intro you need to contrast it with something bold and defined...

You gave me the kick up the arse I needed, and helped me come up with something much more original I think

Posted by TranceElevation on Feb-20-2016 18:28:

But why do u compress so much

liked the pluck tones at the start, felt like the track was really heading somewhere, then you dropped that sound and brought in a bass which doesnt really groove enough for me, bit stop start...

Posted by evo8 on Feb-20-2016 19:38:

was going to post this on hearthisat but doesnt seem to be embed option yet ( or i cant see it)

some laid back stuff (was doing a lot of heavy techno recently)

ok very good, but, why the ear shattering chalk eraser clap? but yes youre on the right track with making something clean and defined......and when the hats kick in at the end...thats actually when it sounds pretty good......you could drop all the rest and just go with that last part......

but the point is.....with the intro you had coupled with something more defined like this...it creates the contrast that is needed in successful music......i'm not talking about EDM...i'm talking about good music.....good music has contrast.......it's bold.....it has groove and emotion and personality....

dont be controlled by the piano roll.....make a beat without using the mouse once.....load up a drum rack with drum pieces in it and hammer out a real beat...

sequence the synth part in real time.....be the musician......stop being the "producer", roll your sleeves up, and be the musician....then be the producer to pull everything together

youve got to infuse the song with your energy.......push it, pull it, grab hold of it and swing it around, it's impossible to do this when you are using the mouse only, use two hands at once, do some crossfading.....make the music real

bass is a bit massivey-preset sounding, has pretty good space but needs some groove

thanks for checking guys, yeah I was just experimenting a bit with that bassline, wanted a futurehouse-ish sound as I'm playing around with massive a bit more, but you're right I think making something that is on par with the atmospheric pretty intro would be a good move

if anyone has anything that they want me personally to listen to just link here, I'll be around this weekend

I like it mate deffo.

You know I've wanted to ask you something for a while; It would be great to see a vid of you making a track, particularly I'm not sure how you keep your mixes so clear yet very and not squashed sounding. Also tend to like your sound design. I'd love to see where you set your faders and the master fader level, what plugs you use on the ,master and so on

In case u got nuttin better to do, lol!!

This is pretty decent apart from that break is clumsy mate, the snare sounds off in every way!! Nice synth work, epically the background chord synth just prior to that break

really nice, has that old prog sound going on kinda, wondering would a 909 style kick work better?
might need to change the track somehow as it goes past 2nd break as it becomes a bit samey

but yeah, really nice
