Looking into 500FX as well, I wish I could try it out first but features look nice.
My setup will be 2 Pioneer CDJ-1000MK2 Pro, Acer Ferrari Laptop with Dj Tracktor 3 and most likley 500FX mixer

Man great table! Did you make that? With my new CDJ i ran out of room and i'm thinking i have to custom build a table. But that one looks amazing!

Yes, I built it myself. Kind of didn't know what I was doing but I think it turned out really well.

I added the platform for the cdj's a little bit later.

Now I just need to build a shelf for my records!

Nice setup Ygrene. What do you think of the KRK's?

I must say that I love them but, I don't have alot of experience on other monitors to compare them to.

Seems to me that they are crystal clear and they have enough power that I don't need any other speakers in the room if I'm playing for people.

He also mentions there is a:

Behringer MX802A Mixer

So i'm not quite sure which one he's curious about. The Numark one seems a bit too mainstream not to know what it is. If you get me..

nelly

The Behringer MX802A Mixer is next to his laptop

He edited his post, it wasn't there when I was looking at it :P

And not that I'm curious, I just couldn't see what kind of mixer it was (next to his laptop).

I dunno if i should put money towards a new laptop (kinda needed for school) or a cdj1000
I need a new mixer aswell because my dxm01 only has two channels and its kinda anoyying me... i need a midi keyboard coz i hate trying to play out tunes on my computer keyboard when producing.

I think ill have to become a hebitch, manhore, giggalo, male-prositute.

anybody have suggestions for a table (say from Ikea for example) that's good for limited space that' holds a mixer, 2 1210's and 2 CDJ-1000's.

I really don't want to spend around $500 one of these:

with a large CD bracket

or

with a large cd bracket and in all black of course

I use the Jerker Desk from Ikea:

Mine is at waist-height, and the monitors are at ear-level. It was $200, plus an extra $30/piece for the swivel shelves that the EFX and the CDJ are on.

Oh, and CDJ-1000's will fit on the swivel shelves. I measured before I bought it, for possible upgrades. The swivel shelves can be put on the outside and turned forward if you want the CDJs a little more out of the way, yet still close.
