Dood...Richard...love the transition. It is getting better and better!

Sorry guys this jus came out of nowhere and reminds me of driving at night.

Mix only done on little pc speakers so far so it's probably iffy.

Bet this was fun to make. A good one to dance to - I don't like those kinda offbeat snare sections as it gets too cluttered - maybe use different snare sounds and a different pattern to maintain the groove better?

Like some of your riser sounds etc. Good mixing as ever.

I had a feeling the breakdown was lame and plodding. Mmm any thoughts what to do for the breakdown as I'm numb?

I know what happened - that break synth sounding great in the studio as everything was rattling (even my stomach) and so I just got carried away.

listening to this again really nice production on this, drums sound nice and upfront, maybe a tad too much reverb on the snare (nitpicking)

the whole synth progression in the break doesnt sit right imo - what to do? not sure, maybe just some pads in a progression similar to the bassline? then kill the pads and drop it back in??

Agree, sounds interesting already and if I could add some more excitement to this track I would add (maybe 2) bass lines and interplay them with your main synth (not low bass but rather mid bass, maybe even some morph mid bass) - but this need to happen in second part of your track Richard.

Thanks,

Darek

Chill house track I started yesterday, mix is very rough

Let me know what you guys think

Sako - that's a killer track. Love the use of pumping here. Vocal maybe could be a bit clearer.

I prefer this over your most recent wip here. This one would be nice to drive to - I think though the kick is lost and needs to assert it's presence more such that it is the question to the baseline answer.

Like those little arp lines.

I'm glad your still making some progressive trance/house tracks. I like this one. I like the breakdown starting at 1:49, I like the sound design, the melody/harmony and how it progresses. I think the climax after the breakdown could be a little more exciting. I like the kick on the track.

Sounds like it is going to be a cool track. Although, it is kind of like the mid frequencies are missing or there are too much hi's or something (at least on my headphones).

This is great. Nice percussion and very good atmosphere. Chill in the sun with a beer track. Had any progress with this one?

I wouldn't mind if that atmospheric pad would be used to transition over to a break at some point. I want more.

The mixing is great. There are some elements I have a hard time with. I don't like the melody playing over the kick after the drop. Mainly because it takes to much focus away from the kick. Nothing wrong with the sound itself, it's just the melody that annoys me.

Other than that, I think you are getting good at creating buildups and anticipation.

Sounds good. I actually like the break.

thanks
its pretty much done, not changing anything in the arrangement as i really like the feel of the track the way it is right now
i need to maybe adjust the kick slightly and maybe a tiny bit of eq on the arp

Transfered everything from Logic 9 to Garageband with no hassle. Switched to a different kick thanks tot he audio engine and some new pads and a new lead. Now i'm ready for breakdown.

Behold, the power of Garageband!

My track I'm struggling a bit with at the moment. Let me know what you think about the mix and everything else.

I was going to critique the track Juan, but I can always tell the digital distortion that the Garage band engine introduces though; Sorry but I can't help but think noob when I hear it

To each their own. Cubase has the most distorted playback engine ever, will try pro tools and see how that goes.

The Garageband engine made me change my kick and i think it sounds better now.
