They are the ONLY decent stantons.

But still, there's nothing like having the freedom to go to 1200s.com and buy any single little part you need for the technics. If something goes wrong and you need a new transistor or something, you will find it for the technics.

The stantons may hold a pitch as well and have pretty lights, but it definately wont have the compatibility as the technics and still hasn't proven itself sturdy enough to bypass technics.

I believe he means 8,000 dollars.

Some countries use the decimal point in stead of the comma and vice versa.

Posted by Rebel Brown on Dec-18-2005 14:28:

Using the decimal point!? Blasphemy!

[/useless sarcasm]

Except in sentences.. only when dealing with numbers...

Eight thousand = 8,000.00 = 8.000,00

I believe...

correct...Americans use comma to divide series of digits and Europeans use period, and the other way around for decimals. I think it's a joke that there can't be an agreement for a world wide standard, just like with the metric system as well as the date formats.

Posted by SpecRadio on Dec-18-2005 18:23:

I just ordered a pitch fader already soldered to PCB for my 1210mk2. It's sitting in my turntable right now, working.

Was a bit slow though.

Anyways, how in the fuck would you spend $8000 on 1200s.com?

I live in Europe and I certainly don't use a decimal point to divide my digits. Hence sarcastic post #1...

no one should use a comma nor a dot to do it! that just mixes everything up.

so don't type:
10.000 or 10,000, but 10 000, it's much clearer that way.

also everyone should use the metric system to avoid confusion, but some countries are just too damn stubborn i guess.

thrue that, it would be easier if everybody just uses the metric system, buth anyway, back on topic, this is the bedroom dj set picture thread and not the metric thread

keep on posting boyz (and girlz)!

Posted by sEpH on Dec-18-2005 22:57:

the "DJ Booth" section needs his "official metric system thread"

does that mean we now need to refer to our records as 30cm's, not 12" ?
doesn't quite have the same ring to it.

Seems he has found a flaw in our plan but then again my dick being 30 cm sounds so much better then just 12 inches...
