Werent Vermona bring out some new yoke last year?

They were bringing out a keyboard (called the 14 or something) but I've not seen any demos of it.

This thing sounds unbelievable though. It's just sweet spot everywhere.

I ran some midi through it and tweaked a bit and I could't make it sound bad. This is just a bit of delay. No EQ, no compression.

Wait, you swapped out the speakers again? That's got to be 6 or 7 pairs in less than 5 years.

My biggest and most ultimate regret shoulda listened about treatment from the getco. Imagine the PMC's with the treatment I have now, fidelity heaven. I had about 5 different pairs or so. 1 pair busted, the sonodyne's and the rest was impulse but the last pair that I have now will last me till i retire, ergonomics.

If only there was a 'pictures of your home hooch still' thread for you to participate in

Nice Odyssey, Bluffy!!!

I actually picked up this mint ISA220 a few months ago and you guys wouldn't believe the story of how this deal played out, but suffice to say, it was by far the best transaction I've ever had through craigslist and the price I paid for it was ridiculously low. I've wanted one for years and the thing sounds great with my Mojave MA-200 and Bluebird mics, not to mention my bass and acoustic guitars. It's a workhorse front end.

Tasty inputtage

I was thinking of getting something to go in front of the RME, but in reality I need a desk for all the synths and that ain't gonna happen just yet!

Really? I would have thought the Dominion was superior in every way?

Well it's gawn then!

I would watch a few videos about the Odyssey layout first, it's quite odd.

Unfortunately, most of them are by that tedious man Marc Doty.

Hi....im Morc Dooootyyy lol ah yeah he does a certain kind of demo, he knows his onions

It's really difficult to tell whether or not a synth is for you by going online demos, really have to go hands on with it for a few months imho

No octave switcher is a bit weird alright

Posted by evo8 on Jan-05-2017 09:24:

No patch memory either arrgh - not sure i want to go back to that

Looking at the System-8 again

Posted by tehlord on Jan-05-2017 10:25:

Yeah I don't mind the patch saving thing so much. It does have an octave switcher though!

Yeah I meant per osc!, i got used to no patch mem on the boomstar (that was a mistake selling that btw) but with the dom1 its really handy if you have different tracks you are working at the same time, i only use patch mem for that, rarely if ever do i go back to old presets for new tracks

Aahhh, on the Odyssey each oscillator has a continuously variable pitch slider that covers several octaves, so it's done that way. It's weird!

I do agree that patch memory is useful, and the Odyssey is right on the cusp of complexity for a synth that really needs one. Saying that, people did without for decades lol.

Nice Dave!

That is literally the front end (minus the avid /euphonix system 5 inputs) that several dozel blockbuster films used for vox.

The mojave was used in a lot of places where we had the option of pre way Neumann's and Royers etc. You just need a little something to warm up the ISA and you're set.

Congrats dave!

sounds really nice, love the filter, paraphony/detune lends itself to some weird kinda sounds!
patch points are nice, could conceivably hook it up to the Dominion and have some fun experimenting

no on/off switch though, do i not like that

All these pics of amazing new gear... I think I kinda hate you guys lol
