Originally posted by Richard Butler EVO - as above I will focus on bass and also the kick as you suggest top see if a tweak pays dividends. I have listened over for this place where lead starts to distort, I'm not sure what you mean. It may be because later on there is more going on? |

Welp...decided to take a stab at a Remix contest which I have only done once before in the past.
This is a WIP I am having alot of fun with and was curious for some feedback.
A couple of notes:
1: Curious on your thoughts with this. I have known the technique for years but never attempted it as really this is only my second song using vocals. It's ghosting. I have always loved the method but learned last night how to do it on ableton (I was like a kid in a candy store) but feel that I may be over using it.
2: I am also wondering if I need more..."punch". The track I am sure will have more once a proper mixdown happens but think it needs...something.
3: The drop....I like how the risers mix in but it has a lax luster feel to it when the drop occurs.
Thanks for anyone taking the time to critique this...really appreciate it

Originally posted by NoName_At_All Can't say if the bongos are to loud or not, sounds good to me. I like how the tension build before the drop and the drop is good. I don't like that sound playing over the bass though. Maybe you could try something different, or maybe it's just me and you should stick with it. |

Thanks you guys for the responses and feedback. Always take it to heart.
Still working on it...
Just some shit I started yesterday. Someone came to me for a remix, I would usually decline and given the track was pretty poor, whatever doe. Still dont know what im gonna do with it.
You can do a lot better sir.
So can your mom.
You're right man; its definitely not, the original was really bad. I dont know why I really bothered with it, I guess I wanted something to work on. I dont think I will even give it them to release -- pointless. At least it has an oldschool vibe I suppose that is a small victory for me.
