Very nice dude
every time I open this thread it makes me feel bad about myself
I should stop opening this thread
oh shit raph, I see a sigma. I'm either getting that next orrr Nucleus, what do you think?
those are 2 different animals, one is an AWS without faders, the other is a benchmark dac with midicontroller fades. apples and oranges.
you should drool over my speakers:

no you're wrong:
Nucleus = controller + dac + mic pre NO SSL sound
SIGMA = 32ch summer, automation 2 mixbusses + monitoring
I see, Oh well I'm relatively new to this stuff.
So a sigma and an avid controller like the one you have would do right?
yep that's heaven for me
this badboy is gonna get that very soon.
Ok so it goes like DIS..
Hilo Thunderbolt to Mac
Main XLR output from Lynx hilo to Sigma
XLR Monitor Out from sigma to monitors
XLR Mix out to Lynx Hilo XLR Input
Sigma Ethernet to Mac Pro
Read Manual for further installation.
Now what about mixing controller from avid where do i hook that up?
Presto!?
Or how about this?
You can take the MIX OUT from Sigma into Hilo's LINE INs and then send the Hilo LINE INs to its MONITOR OUTs and then to your monitors so you use the Hilo's DAs.

Hmm, idk raph not to be bummer but ain't audioquest for hi fi use? like all them esxotic cables?
Anyhow,
I plan on getting an aurora 8 daisy chain with my hilo thunderbolt and sum with the sigma. If I can make it with that setup, i'l add more
I only use the K2 speakercable, sounds really good with the DVS adapters, get better respons and more nuance than with Belden or Tasker
all my studio wiring is Vandamme studioline and monitoring is mogami quad gold
Oh, Yeah I use mogami built from here. A lot of fun customizations lol.

I tried the new Oyaide Neo built specifically for studio monitors and the mogami's from the place i mentioned above tore them up at half the price. Now the oyaide's are just sitting somewhere taking up space,

My much cut down setup.
Note the desk space that will happily house at least 2 new Korg Electribes...
Isoacoustic stands to replace the bean cans soon too.
Nice lava lamp, Geoff. Looks analog.
How's the V-Synth?
